Artist Statement
"In "Hope’s Hope I and II," a solitary dragonfly rests upon an earthy-toned background, rich with hues of oranges, greens, and golds. This piece embodies the essence of hope, reminding us that even in the simplest moments, symbols of resilience and optimism are ever-present in our surroundings. The dragonfly, delicate yet powerful, hovers in a world of natural tones that evoke a sense of grounding and connection to the earth. Its delicate wings catch the light, reflecting a spectrum of possibilities, much like the hope that glimmers within each of us. The choice of colors, inspired by the warmth of the sun and the vitality of nature, emphasizes the life and energy that persist even in times of stillness."
Proceeds from this purchase help fund the costs associated with sending a Card of Hope to a mother of traumatic birth who has requested one.
"We, as a whole, are not talking enough about Traumatic Birth and I am on a mission to change that."
